Main Street

The Arizona Downtown Alliance, a program of the Arizona Preservation Foundation, works with communities throughout Arizona to implement the Main Street Four‐Point Approach® developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1980.

Main Street Four-Point Approach

The Main Street Four‐Point Approach is a preservation‐based economic development tool that addresses the variety of issues and problems that challenge traditional commercial districts. The four points – Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization, and Promotion – work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
